What we are talking about music is the attitude, songs of protest or, introspective ballads or just the old bad-ass hell of good time music of funds – the country itself, but also rock American, blues, traditional bluegrass and soul, even. Music without borders, united by a common denominator of realism, honesty and heart.
Like Springsteen and Neil Young? Well, Steve Earle is probably the greatest name in Americana. If you are a fan of The Boss and Neil Young in the same extent and does not lie with the phenomenon that is Steve Earle, so do yourself a favor and take care of "Guitar Town" and "Copperhead Road and see what you missed.
