Skateboard Wheels..?
Ok well first of all i live in windsor ontario canada, and i bought a new skate board from canadian tire and it was about 15 bucks here are some features ::
31 x 8½” (77.5 x 21cm) double kicktail
5″ aluminum truck and base
50 x 36mm polyurethane-injected wheels
608z bearings
ok now i got polyurethane-injected wheels and i am planning to ride it on the road (aka Tar Pavement) if you dont kno what that is it’s the black road…. so is that the right wheels or do I need some other kind? if so can you please tell me what kind of wheels and where I can buy them for how much. Thank you.
I checked CT’s website and thee is not much more info on the setup than you provided. I was looking for the hardness of the wheels, but no answer. If you just plan to cruise around, you need large soft wheels. Your setup comes with 50mm wheels, but 60-65+mm wheels are the best size. You should use a durometer of less than 85a. In a nutshell bigger wheels will go over objects in the road better than small ones, and soft wheels give a better ride over rough surfaces.
Unfortunately new wheels for your board will cost more than you paid for your complete. They generally run about $30-40 for a set. If you are interested in purchasing them, a local skate shop will have them.
