Blank Skateboard Lot

skateboards?

i just got a new skateboard and i like it a lot. i got a almost deck, silver trucks, blank wheels, and destructo bearings. and the board looks cool. but now that i got it, i feel like that i dont wanna use it, because it looks so good. my problem is that now i have this board i dont no what to do. i wanna use it to go tricks and skate with it, but everytime when i do a trick like the ollie, shove-it, and etc. i always look at it, to see if there is a stratch. so when i see the stratch, i just wanted to be careful with it. but then i said to myself that “whats the point of getting this board if i dont want sratch marks on it.” so what should i do. i wanna use my board to skate badly, but the stratch marks makes me uncomfortable. and this is the only board i have. what do i do?

I once thought the same thing, but you know what, I think a skateboard looks more distinguished with all those marks. It’s made to be used not kept pretty. Every mark you put into a board is like a mark you made on the wall to see how tall you got. it’s experiance and something learned. You could just not skateboard and keep it pretty or maybe look for some rails for it, havn’t seen them made for new style decks but they may be out there. This is also why I suggest people not get a really nice deck for their first deck because it’s going to get thrashed more than another deck further along because you’ll be skating better, cept for grinds. You may get over it if you really want to skate or it may always bother you. maybe jsut get a cheaper blank deck without any graphic and switch all you gear over to that board and just keep this deck nice for now. I use mini logo blaks now anyways I don’t need a prety graphic and it’s half the cost and just as good of a quality deck.
