Longboard Skateboard Decks – Greater Stability When Riding
Skateboarding without a skateboard is not possible, similarly one can not evn try to think of a skateboard without a deck. A skateboard is a four wheeled platform and the platform is known as the deck, on which the rider stands while skateboarding. Longboard is a type of a skateboard which is comparatively larger and even wider than other standard skateboards, hence it is named a longboard. Skateboard decks are the most essential part of skateboards which can be used by simply standing if you are on a downward slope, or pushed with one foot out while the other remains on the deck, to experience smooth skateboarding. Since longboard skateboard decks have deeper concavity and are wider in shape it allows big turns and quick short carves, which otherwise boards with less concavity do not permit. Mostly longboard skateboards measure between 90 cm and 150 cm which makes it perfect for cruise skateboarding, downhill racing and even as a mode of transport. Like other decks even longboard skateboard decks are usually made of wood and by applying grip tape on it you can increase your grip on the board. Depending upon your budget you can go in for a blank longboard skateboard deck which does not have any prints on it nor a graphic deck. A smaller skateboard with small wheels are no doubt suitable to perform tricks, but longboard skateboard decks with a kick tail and nose will also enable you to perform even difficult tricks; like ollies. Larger and hard wheels of a longboard shall enable a smooth ride and since they are durable in nature it is money well spent.
The steering mechanism to the deck is provided by trucks which are the metal parts for attaching the wheels to the board. The kingpin which enables tightening and loosening of trucks for better turning and more control, is laid at a more acute angle to the deck of a longboard skateboard, which adds stability and allows the rider to go much faster while still maintaining control. Some riders may prefer to make their own longboard decks so that they can get exactly what is required, but since a wide range of longboard skateboard decks are easily available online, you can comfortably compare the possibilities on the Internet and acquire the proper longboard skateboard deck to suit your skateboarding style and also your budget. To experience better control and stability even while riding fast, you can rely upon longboard skateboard decks that are more concave and wider in shape, rather than looking for any other decks.

what’s the best and cheapest way to apply graphics to a blank skateboard deck?
Im just wondering what are the options to apply graphics to a blank skateboard deck? Because I would rather personalise a nice blank deck rather than spending heaps of money on a branded expensive deck!
Use Aerosol primer, or a spray-paint primer, then usually i just apply shoe protectant spray to it to keep it nice and durable.
