Freebording is difficult to learn?
When someone asks "Freebording is difficult to learn", the answer is always yes, but that does not mean you should not try. In fact, if you are already on board (either snow or skate) is a step ahead of the competition when it comes to learning Freebording.
You Snowboard? Then you can Freebord!
Technically Freebording is much more like the snowboard skate. You can slip and slide horizontally, rotate 360 degrees, and carve like no other to ride a Freebord, even on asphalt, but a key skill you have to learn is balance. When you are first starting out, it might be helpful to get on the Freebord while holding onto a stationary object and only get an idea of how to move the Freebord. It rolls back and forth, but also has that crazy rock movement caused by the two wheels mounted wheel center. When you shift your weight on the wheels, slides horizontally Freebord is something target = "_self" title = "Difference between Freebords and Skateboards"> can not skateboard.
Once you have an idea of the Freebord, you should take into out on some smooth surfaces in a relatively flat area (I do not want to go attack a steep in his first race unless you want to finish the road pizza.) Ensure that there is no traffic to beat, or hit you, and you may want a little privacy so that no one sees you fall of the first hundred times.
Do not forget to wear protective gear! Freebording, even in "safe" area, is always potentially dangerous. To minimize your risk of injury and severity of them have good quality knee and elbow pads and wrist guards. And always wear a helmet!
The Freebords Unleashed!
Once you think you are willing to "let go", keeping focused on the Freebord shoulders for balance and go with the flow. You can carve once again relying on it. The harder we lean, the more you carve. It is a little different from roller skating, because the Freebord sit on perches further and replicate the edge of a snowboard steel. Be careful not to lean too far right or whether you draw or catch and edge and end up eating asphalt. Take special care to lean too far over your toes.
Then change a little weight in the center of the wheels and get an idea of how it slides Freebord. Remember, wheels turn 360 degrees so that its Freebord will rotate and change direction quickly. Too much weight on the wheels will send the Freebord slide from under you.
Practice makes perfect and if you need a day or a month you get the hang of it.
Keep your team tight
Some advice about your computer that can make learning to ride his new Freebord easier:
1) Find a Freebord that suits you-are available in a ton of different sizes and materials.
2) Adjust to fit you Freebord-Set the links to your position, raise / lower the wheels of Castor center to a comfortable (low = more rock movement, higher = less), and tighten the trucks to match your driving style.
(Or to buy a truck and wheel kit available Black Sports "> Sports-Black Diamond to suit your driving style: downhill, freestyle or freeride).
3) Keep your computer healthy. Replace the wheels and trucks often loose. Inspect the suspension arms and base plates of trucks too, that does not want his Freebord falling apart while you attack is a big hill, it would not be enough.
