Need help with my kickflip!!!?
I have a great flip but the board never stays underneath me. It usually ends up 3 feet infrotn of me. But it always flips and lands on its weels!
I had major trouble with my first kick flip. Here are some pointers.
You’re trying too hard to flip it. That’s why it’s landing so far away from you. Next time, try kicking your left foot (or right if you’re goofy) a little less out, and a little more backwards. For example: I’m kicking my foot to the top left corner of the board (If I’m regular), I’d kick more to the left and less to the top.
Also, you might be concentrating too much on the flip. You can try concentrating on the ollie too. If you concentrate less on the flip, you won’t put as much power into it and it won’t fly as far.
Here are some tips for landing it. Just don’t be afraid to put your kick foot on the board. I had trouble kicking the board then putting it back on… And skate shoes would help..if you don’t have any.
