how much can I sell festival t-shirts for?
I am planning a late summer family type festival in a park. There will be live music (all styles) kids games, sand castle building etc. Entry is free, and I expect to draw about 5000 people. I am preparing to order souvenir t shirts to sell with the festival logo on front and bands listed on back. The shirts – in 3 color silk screen- will cost me about $7.50 ea. How many can I expect to sell in a day, and at what price point? I could buy the shirts a bit cheaper, by lowering the quality or design work, but I’d rather not do that.
I suggest you buy a number that you are comfortable with. You should also print out a lot of order forms. This way, if the demand for the shirts is higher than you expected, people can place their orders with you so that you can order more shirts for them to have. Plus if you buy too many, you won’t have extra shirts lying around in case they don’t sell well.
As far as selling price, I recommend anywhere between $12 to $17 dollars. Any more and people may not buy them. Hope this helps.
