How To Create a Playable Karaoke CD?
I have the following:
-Pioneer DVD-RW burner (CD+G Compatible)
-Power CD+G Burner Pro
-Plenty of blank CD-RW discs.
-Around 15 songs each with a .CDG and .MP3 file.
I have followed a guide and burnt the cdg files (with mp3 files same name as cdg in same folder) onto a blank CD-RW disc with Power CD+G Burner Pro.
The process was complete. I tried playing this CD in my dicksmiths DVD player. (which i have connected to an amplifier with microphone)
However there was only music playing, no lyrics nor graphics.
I have also tried this on my ps2 hoping for a different result but it’s still the same.
So, do I need to buy a new DVD player?
Or do I need to make a .kar file or something? (don’t know bout this)
Power CD+G Burner does not support .kar files.
To start with you cannot use rewritable (CD-RW) discs. You must use CD-R discs only.
The CD+G discs you are creating are not video discs and cannot be played in a typical DVD player. I don’t know if PS2 will play CD+G discs so you should try playing a commercial disc to find out.
While Power CD+G Burner works with MOST modern CD and DVD burners, it does not work with ALL of them. If after trying everything else you still get audio only you will most likely need a different burner.
