Today there are 5 patterns that are actively used by the U.S. military for uniforms and work clothes. One is the ACU or Army Combat Uniform. This is a digital camouflage outfit consisting of tan, OD green and gray colors. This has been used in Iraq and be replaced by Multicam for use in Afghanistan. The Marines use the forest and MARPAT digital desert. The NWU or the uniform of the working ship is composed of dark tones the ACU. The Air Force uses the ABU or Airman Battle Uniform consisting of different patterns of tiger stripes in shades of gray. These uniforms are said to have a camouflage effect and are special fabric made to withstand the harsh military environment. Many engineers in the military are still developing high-end dresses that are very competent battle.
