The Future of the Electric Skateboard
Pushing is so pathetically 90’s. Get over it. No more kicking on that skateboard to get you around! The skateboards of the future are all electric.
A saw a video about electric skateboards. Since then I have had at least 3 different boards, which is as much a tribute to how much I adore these babies.
So what is so great about motorized skateboard?
They’re very fast. We are talking 20-25 miles per hour and more.
It feels like you are flying very low. When you zoom around you have a tendency to look forward (obviously), meaning you never see your feet. It somehow feels like your gliding six inches off the pavement. The range is also quite decent. The furthest I got was a 14 mile ride. After wards the battery needed a full charge up.
If you ask me, it’s a lot less complicated than a regular skateboard as you mostly have both feet on the board. The only downsides of the electric skateboard are that they break fairly easily and go slowly up hills. E-Glide has a very good warranty policy. Ninety days guaranty on the board and electronics. The boards also come with a 6 month battery guaranty.
There are two companies who make these boards: Altered, formerly known as Exkate and E-Glide. Altered boards have a neat wireless controller, but the boards are made in China and the customer service isn’t the best.
E-Glide concentrates on only using top of the range components to build their electric skateboards. Additionally they’re the only electric skateboard company who does not import premade powerboards from China.
I personally ride the E-Glide “44 Magnum” a Madrid board designed by Crossbow USA. At 44 inches in length, it’s a Ferrari among electric skateboards. Until someone invents the Hover-board, these babies are it!!!.

Is it legall for a kid to use an eletric skateboard?
i mean like an 11 yr old to use an electric skateboard.
Its perfectly legal as long as you dont use it on any major roads or highways. Just get out of the road when a car comes you wont get in trouble.
