Why is Our Lady of Guadalupe celebrated?
I have read all the big articles on websites and searched it on google but could you explain it to me in not alot of words? like a couple paragraphs at most?
She appeared to Juan Diego in Mexico with miraculous apparition of roses, and the tilma that still bears her image on after 500 yrs. She came to help Indian peoples in the aftermath of the Spanish conquest of Mexico. After several undisputed miracles, approx 9 million Aztecs and Mayans and others converted to Christianity in a few short years. Her feast day is today. Pax Christi
