How can i hook up several emergency lights in my car?
I often help people broken down on the side of the road and want to put some amber colored lights in my car to keep me safe. i am planning to put one in the front and 2 in the back. the problem is that i only have 2 cigarette outlets and would rather like to avoid a complete electrical overhaul. What can i do to hook up all three without costing me a fortune.
If they’re going to be permanent or semi-permanent, check your fuse block for a spare (unused) circuit. You’ll have to roughly figure out how much current the lights will draw (google “ohm’s law”) so you can determine the appropriate fuse.
For the previous answer (magnetic mount trailer lights), if you don’t have the socket (trailer connector), you can buy one at any auto parts place and they usually come with the connection instructions. Inexpensive and pretty simple to install (I’ve done it, and if I can do it, anybody can!).
