Would putting longboard trucks and wheels on a skateboard work as a longboard?
I have a skateboard deck, but think that a longboard is so much better for getting around. Just wondering if anyone has done it and how it turned out / what differences would there be from a normal longboard

i have done this . .. with a smaller deck you may lose some balance points not alot so depending what you are skating on. but it is not uncommon , if you are using normal skate board trunks with bigger wheels this will not work not even with raisers because you will still inconter deck bite (where the wheels touch the deck and makes you face plant the ground)
