Restaurant rules against displaying graphic images?
Is there any? I went to a restaurant in the Italian culture and among its many beautiful pictures have several photos of dead people appear to have been victims of mob hits. I do not see this as the culture, but murder. I think children can eat there and see this or someone who may be upset by such an image. What is the best way to go to have the restaurant to delete the images. Are there rules against this? Especially since no notice of the parents? My question is is there any RULES against it?
It is not condescending seems the best way. You could speak with the owner / manager and express their concerns, but is willing to listen to what art means to them, there may be a compelling reason for it. Personally I explain to my children why the art was there and what it meant. So far I have done quite well with open and honest explanations. Editing may be local ordinances on work of art but it is a very risky, since an attack on freedom of speech and everyone is different interpetation. You could try talking to a city official (It is likely that the prosecutor's office) or ask a reference librarian in the local laws.
