The history of Vans Skate Shoes

Vans skateboard shoes, like most other things these days, began with the dream of a person. This person was Paul Van Doren, and his dream of making shoes and selling them directly to the public.

Paul Van Doren actually started making shoes sport, while working at a factory in the east cost. Also associated with people who had experience in the footwear business. They were Jim Van Doren, Gordy Lee and Serge D'Elia. Unfortunately, none of them actually had experience in retail.

Despite this setback bit that opened its first store in 1966, by 15 March. That was the first Vans shoe store is located at 704 East Broadway in Anaheim, California. At this point, only offers three styles of shoes. They were priced at $ 2.49, $ 4.49, and $ 4.99, but sold as display only shoes.

The first open day with 12 clients. Since we do not really have that many shoes that asked customers to return later in the afternoon and then rushed into his factory and made each of the selected shoes. There was a small problem. When each of the 12 guests arrived to pay for fresh shoes that need change, and since no one in his group had retail experience did not really expect this, so did the clientele of shoes and asked them to come back later and pay. Luckily the firs all 12 of his clients were good honest people who actually pay again for the shoes.

At first, the Vans shoes had a single diamond patter, but it was soon discovered that cases of breaking balls around the outside easily that way. They are not this, so they decided to try something different. It was decided that the area of the ball vertical lines have been added so that the shoe would be stronger and able to handle more. The waffles as the sole design of Vans shoes set them apart from others.

In 1976, skateboarders began wear the shoes like Vans skate shoes. In the first March 19 that year, the very Vans skate shoes are designed and done. The Era is Vans and were red and blue. The pro skaters Tony Alva and Stacy Peralta are the designers of these principles of Vans skate shoes. Soon there were new colors and even wear shoes Vans skate and became the rage in California.
