Razor Ripstik Skateboard

Is there a difference between "Razor Ripstik skateboard" and "Wave Board?

My younger brother wants one. What is better? (Is 12)

i think the Ripstik has a pole in the center to griding but the wave board no, I just went with the Ripstik, razor is a good brand and I have not heard much the wave board
