Nobody knows with certainty when the skateboard is officially born, but most agree it started in late 1940 or early 1950. Surfers in California Always looking to catch a wave, but I wanted something to "navigate" when the waves were flat. Person No one knows who made the first table, whatever – it seems that many people had similar ideas at the same time. These skateboards began "Surf the earth" with wooden boxes or boards with roller skate wheels attached to the bottom.
Over time, these boxes became tables, and finally, companies have started production of wood covered with layers of low – similar to the skateboard decks we see today. During the 1940s and 1950s, skateboarding was regarded as something to do for fun outside of surfing, and therefore often referred "Sidewalk Surfing."
How to navigate the sidewalk was removed, surf some manufacturers such as Makaha started building skateboards that resembled small surfboards. The popularity of skateboarding at this time in a national magazine, Skateboarder Magazine. In 1965, an international championship was broadcast on national television. Growth sport during the 1960s is also evident when we look the sales figures of Makaha, which quoted $ 10 million in sales between 1963 and 1965 table (Weyland, 2002:28). However, sales have dropped dramatically the following year and in 1966 Skateboarder magazine ceased publication. The popularity of skateboarding dropped and remained low until remain the early 1970s.
At that time, Frank Nasworthy began to develop a skateboard wheel made of polyurethane, calling it the "Cadillac" as he hoped this would convey the smooth ride that allows the rider feels. There were also dramatic improvements in traction and performance. When the wheel is again launched in 1972, the popularity of skateboarding started to rise again. Many companies began manufacturing trucks (axles) especially designed for skateboarding, and continuously looking for ways to increase performance. As the material became easier to handle, wider bridges, reaching a width of 10 inches (250 mm) and giving the skater more control. In the middle 1970s "banana boards" became popular. This term describes skates were made of polypropylene thin, flexible, and had the ribs at the bottom of structural support. They are available in several colors, bright yellow, but has probably been the most memorable, hence the name.
As skateboarding has continued to be popular, manufacturers experimented with more exotic materials and metals, such as fiber glass aluminum, but most pads are made of maple. Skaters like better management of their advice and began to invent new stuff. In 1976, many pools were empty because of the drought in California. Many familiar names such as Ty Page, Bruce Logan, Bobby Piercy, Kevin Reed, and Z-Boys (so called because of his Zephyr surf shop) started to skate the vertical walls of swimming pools and has taken the lead in the green skate. These skaters may green skate faster now and more dangerous tricks such as cutting and grinding Front / rear air. This raises a problem of responsibility and increased homeowners insurance costs skate park. Many have closed their doors. For this reason, Green skaters started making their own ramps while that freestyle skaters continued to evolve simple style.
In the 1980s, invented new tricks skaters Green: no-hands aerial (more later known as the ollie) by Alan Gelfand in Florida and almost parallel development of the aerial by George Orton and Tony Alva takes, California. However, Most people during this time skateboarder could not afford to build ramps or green do not have access to nearby ramps, so that the skate Street has gained popularity. skating has remained strong during the 1980s with pioneers such as Rodney Mullen inventing many tricks basic skating modern street as the impossible and the Kickflip. The influence of freestyle skating in the street had appeared in the mid 80s, but skating street took place even in Green boards with broad short nose, sliding tracks, and large soft wheels. Skateboarding, however, has evolved rapidly in the 1980s accommodate the street skater. Since very few parks were available for Skate skaters at this time, street skating pushed skaters to seek shopping centers and public and private property as their "place" to skate. Public opposition and the threat of lawsuits, forced businesses and owners to ban skateboarding on their property. For this reason, in 1992, the sport has lost its popularity once more, and generally unappealing to attract new skaters.
The current generation is dominated by the skateboard street. More Tables are about 7.5 to 8 inches wide and 30-32 inches long. The wheels are hard polyurethane, with hardness (hardness) of about 99a. sizes wheels are relatively small and the boards are lighter, and the inertia of the wheel that is faster, doing tricks manageable. Board styles have changed dramatically since the 1970s but remained relatively constant since the mid-1990s. The contemporary form of skateboarding is derived freestyle boards of the 1980s with a symmetrical shape and relatively narrow bandwidth. The form has become the standard for mid-90.
