Where have we been, where we are and where they go skating?

Beginning

If we try to imagine the future, it is probably a good idea to go back first and see how it started.

It all started in the fifties, when the California surfers began Place the wheels of roller skates with wooden boards and riding on local streets. Skateboard manufacturers have began to appear in the sixties and a new lifestyle was born.

Urethane skateboard wheels were invented in 1972 and still used today. The mid 70s saw the skate park began to appear that naturally led to new styles of leadership, new tricks new skaters were vertical. Also in the mid 70s, a new scene was born when a competitive slalom competition Free Festival was held at Mar Del Mar in California. The famous Zephyr team transformed the world of skating backwards with his aggressive approach to new skating free. In 1978, around the most famous of all runners, "Ollie" Gelfand invented by Alan (the 70s were a decade of skating).

The 80s were a decade of relatively slow spin if there was a momentum that comes with the popularity of the VCR when the first videos Blades have been introduced. The Bones Brigade Video Show has been particularly popular and was Steve Caballero, Tony Hawk, Mike McGill, Lance Mountain, Rodney Mullen, Stacy Peralta, Kevin Staab and between the names of the fraternity house skating.

The first Extreme Games were held in Rhode Island in 1995 and received many attention skateboarding competition leading to a greater interest in the sport and has raised its profile in the community. Skateboarding also part of the first Winter X Games in '97 and skateboarding competition was really become dominant.

The biggest thing to hit the board roller in the 2000s is the popularity of console games. Skateboarding games are well adapted to the form and has been very successful games each year in the 2000s. A new generation of skaters was born to comfort the children changed their drivers for the real thing.

Future of skateboarding

Skateboard competition, and establish a legitimate sporting public in the same way as surfing and surf culture. Only a few decades ago, surfers have been rejected as unreliable disapproved. These days parents do not think twice before strolling through the surf shops that exist in every shopping mall and the load on clothing with labels of navigation of their children, who can not even what might seem like a beach. Kelly Slater, Mick Fanning, Rip Curl, Quiksilver and Billabong are trademarks of global confidence today. Let like it or not, is careful to skate to follow the same path. We'll see amazing tricks using energy and athleticism that seem unimaginable today. Skate heroes will integrate and wait to see the competition at a much more advanced world. Again, it is instructive to address the road surfing. Competitive surfing failed for decades to act together in the late 80s, when the bold decision was decision to give up control of the sport to a single government agency. The new format of human rights in the competition has been introduced and were taken to the best waves of the best time of year. The general interest of the sport has finally conquered the mind localism and the commercial interests of competition and poor competitiveness have been scrapped. Now, surfing has reached the big time – instead sophisticated, multi-level competition with the mass media. Skating can follow the same path? Yes, if allowed.

When it comes to local ramps and skate parks, expect more walls, more and more big bowls of them. As the current generation of skaters and more it is the turn of a voice in the council and infrastructure spending, so it is good news for skaters and parks and ramps.

The technology will impact the skateboard strikes so many other products. materials stronger, lighter and rapid distribution appear Information indicates that the design board and the truck moves faster. The impact of the Internet is both a challenge and an opportunity for the local Skate shop. growth rate of e-commerce are huge and more people are willing to buy online skateboards. The web allows a model distribution that puts the consumer closer to the shop skateboards. If you long for the days of wooden board 70, then it could not do much for you, but if you're a child with a limited budget, all good news. Expect more, more technologically advanced products at prices lower.

If skateboarding is still the same line as the other markets, so we could see more consolidation among the big names, like acquisition Billabong Sector 9. Other key players on the market today are trademarks of pads as nesting boxes, Girl, Zero, Plan B, Element and Blind. It is a good chance we could see a large stable company to buy a major brand of skateboard to get the price advantage that comes with the volume, which can obviously help the prices of products, but is not always ensured by the product design and creativity inoriginal (when was the last When Ford or GM came out with a fresh product?). In any market, if they are big bigger so the opportunity arises for smaller players to carve their own niche in local markets and buyers who are less aware of the brand.

Arce is always the material of construction materials for bridges, but surely, the day is coming Maple replaced, at least for some styles of the commission. New styles of tables will continue to emerge – skateboarding humble the first day and has evolved into longboards, cruisers, retro tables, pool tables, boards and old mountain. And lighter trucks stronger and better quality wheels, new ways must flat roof and original artwork.

So there you have it, a glance on the past and look to the future – and the future looks bright!

Key features of retro skates?

Can someone explain the look "retro" to the skates? The only thing I seems different from the modern was the fluorescent / bright colors found in many models retro, but the only thing seemed very different. (Im just curious, because I am a big fan of skateboarding:))
