Ripstik Castor Board

By admin

Can Castor Boards (waveboard, ripstik, etc) be used for transportation?

I live about 15 minute’s bike from my high school. My bike just broke and I was thinking of getting a castor board. The entire distance is covered by smooth sidewalks, but i have to wear a heavy backpack. Is it feasible for me to rid a waveboard or ripstik to school? can the castor board go at a decent speed and can i balance with a backpack on?

You can balance with back pack, yes. Don’t get a high tide or wave board! They suck…RipStik is bigger, faster, lighter, and lasts longer. And besides, I’m a size 4 in mens’ and 6 in womens’ and my feet hang off the side of a high-tide board. It’s small as crap!!! If your using it for transportation I think you might want to get the RipStik G. It’s lighter and faster then the castor board and it’s wheels are better. (It turns easier)

Go for it. I use a RipStik for transportation all the time! =]

(I am not saying Castor boards are bad, I mean that’s what I have. I love it! So don’t take it the wrong way. But hear me out, waves and high tides suck!!!)
