Sets Blank Skateboard

By admin

I don’t think this is writer’s block, but I’m stuck all the same?

Well, I just finished Chapter One of my latest novel. I moved onto a few paragraphs of Chapter Two, and now I can’t find the motivation to continue writing … it’s weird. I tried taking a break from the computer, eating snacks and watching the telly in my free time … took the skateboard out for a little run … but when I went back, I drew a blank.

Can you suggest some ideas that will get me back on track, because I’m very set on finishing my book. And lately, it feels like I’m forcing myself to open up Microsoft Word ..

Don’t try so hard. If your mind realizes that you’ve drawn a blank, it will hold that blank. The best thing to do is not worry about it, because stress will not help. Put your work aside for a couple of days- and I’m serious, a couple of DAYS, no running back to it without motivation, alright?

Keep the story in your mind, but don’t let it be all you think of. Sooner rather than later, something will just, literally, hit you- at this point, begin to write again.

It’s a simple process.
