How do I get my white dress shirt white again…?
My new shirt got yellowish from suntan lotion. What is the remedy/procedure to use to try to get it white again?
Put some peroxide in a spray bottle and spray the stain. Wash it in the hottest water that is recommended for the material add 1/2 cup to 1 cup of ammonia along with detergent. In the rinse cycle add 1 cup of white vinegar.
The ammonia helps get sweat and oils out of the clothes and the vinegar helps get all the soap out of the clothes in the rinse cycle. The peroxide acts like a stain killer. I personally love this method, I do it all the time.
