snowboard rails…………………………i need a box?
im a snowboarder and sometimes i cant go to the hill every day so i made a dropin ramp in my backyard,i like hitting rails so i setup an old skateboard rail.the rail sucks,its old and its braking down plus it ruins my board.i was recently at the terain park at a hill and i though what if i got or built a box for my backyard
do u hav any sugesstions on where to get a cheap priced box rail or how to build one with cheap priced materials
On ccs.com there is a 4” wide flat bar made by Element, but its $120. You can’t really go out and just buy a legit snowboard box, you’ll probably have to build it yourself. Buy, or find, some 2×4s to make the box’s frame and a piece of plywood to cover the top of the box. You can add a sheet of HDPE plastic to cover the plywood for a smoother top. HDPE is what they use for the top of boxes at resorts. Just don’t forget to counter-sink the screws on the top so the screw heads don’t ruin the snowboard’s base. You can get the HDPE at http://www.mcmaster.com/ and find the right size and thickness. Just type HDPE in the search bar.
