3 Tips for learning how to ice skate
When you are trying to learn how to ice skate the task may seem impossible. How are you going to step on to a slippery ice surface, with thin metal blades beneath your feet and actually be able to move? Well it seems like a hard task, and it does take a lot of practice, but the firs thing you should do before trying to ice skate is learn the process. Below I have written 3 tips that should help you learn how to ice skate faster
1: Stay low - If you are standing pencil legged when you on the ice it is very difficult to balance. Remember to bend your knees and put your legs shoulder width apart this will lower your center of gravity. This is called the “ready position” and is a universal in all sports. It gives you a stable base and loads your muscles which improves your reaction time.
2: Use your edges- Skates are sharpened to create two edges. Edges give you power control and speed and knowing how to use your skates to their full potential makes a world of difference in your skating ability.
3: Never give up – Half the battle of learning how to skate needs to be won off of the ice. You have to come to the rink prepared to fall. The best way to learn is though mistakes, so do not give up, just get up and keep trying.

Can I get a cheap target SKATEBOARD? I am a girl. Not looking to do any fancy tricks.?
I am a girl who wants to start skateboarding, but am broke. Would it be alright t get a board from TARGET?
for like 20 dollars? I am broke and this is really all I can afford right now. I’m just a beginner and am not going to do any fancy tricks. I’m just gonna skateboard at the park and maybe to In N Out burger and none of my friends skateboard. Would it be alright to get one at Target and just ride that at the park or whatever?
Would it be worth saving up for one (I am broke, btw) to get a 100 dollar one that I probably won’t use that often or in front of real skaters…
*I’m not gonna ever want to do tricks
*It’s mostly for transportation purposes
* I don’t know any skaters and don’t care about what other people think
Should I just get a cheap target skateboard?
Yeah. I would get one from Target if I were you. If you did want one for tricks, and you had enough money, I would recommend an Element. It’s a good starter board. A Target one is better though if your just starting.
