Skateboarding knowledge needed…?
My son is 10 and he is starting to like SKATEBOARDING. I only know of Tony Hawk and of the name “Bam”. Who is Bam and who else would be good role models?
Do they televise any skateboarding events on TV?
Bam Margera is a tv star, movie star but before all that he was a skateboarder. He has a show on MTV called Viva La Bam and used to be on the show Jack@$$… hes a great skateboarder but not that much of a role model for a 10 year old. Rodney Mullen, Jamie Thomas, Tony Hawk are all good role models in skateboarding.. For his age try looking up Ryan Sheckler. He is young and has already won the X games… There is a channel on Direct Tv call Fuel which shows extreme sports such as Skateboarding. I think the channel is 612. Other than that Espn shows the X Games but it only happens once a year. You could always order dvds of skateboarding online.
