"I want to increase my golf swing clubhead speed!" I hear this all the time for members of my site of golf and golfers trainer.com send me emails. I want to be a 'straight' shooter (pardon the pun) at this time. Increasing your golf swing speed head is not everything!
You heard that correctly.
You can rotate at 140 miles per hour and that does not mean anything unless your golf swing sequence and moment of impact is solid. There are lots of 300 units of courtyard in the woods! I have to laugh when I see the Speed Stik Vijay commercial.
The hardest rocking is not going to make the ball go straight … and if I remember correctly, the goal is to get on the street, right?
The point I'm trying to get there is a more powerful, controlled swing, which produces a sequence greater clubhead speed, but at its peak of control. One that has a line consistent swing and the strength of a blow to the club face.
So how?
The only way is to improve your strength golf-specific flexibility!
If you've read any of my 300 more items, you know that I come back to this time-and again. It is your body limits their ability to play golf.
Now this picture!
You do something simple, "home" golf exercises and go to the field. It is the way to the "T" and an RIP over what they have done in years and remains in the game.
Does not sound like him?
There is a balance between a speed greater clubhead, control and sequence of movement that takes you back in order to hit the ball in the center the clubface. Hard swing swinging hard to achieve their goals not long / straight drives.
I get emails from members, customers of my golf fitness dvds and manual telling me how much more stable their swing has become doing my simple golf exercises, and how they are hitting 20-30 feet away … forever.
So do not get me wrong!
I'm all about improving your golf swing clubhead speed … stable but with a twist … no one that is out of control and balance. I am very proud to receive these emails and I know I made another player a believer in golf training.
The next time you see Vijay's commercial for Speed Stik, do not run out and buy with the intention you will see that number go up and up. Buy with the intention that your swing will be stronger, more stable and better sequence.
Then and only then increasing your golf swing clubhead Speed is a factor.
