I was thinking – could teach someone in a particular field from basic elements to grade level just by surfing the web? Is it possible? The information should be free and accurate.
No, because an essential element of a degree is proof their ideas in discussions with others, learn to write their opinions in a formal way and then the defend. They must also be able to listen to other people who present their views and learn to pick up the flaws in their arguments, then choose out of a way that allows them to improve their position, so that the promotion of progress in knowledge.
