Were is the best place to live for access to both Surf & Snow??
Im thinking any were in the world.
I want to aim for somewhere when its not a massive jouney between surf in the summer and snow in the winter.

Yeah, since I live here, I’m also in favor of California. If you want big surf (although it requires a wet suit) and big skiing hills, go for Central California, not Southern. Without much of a drive, you could surf at Santa Cruz or Carmel and ski at Yosemite. A half-day drive would get you to the big Tahoe ski resorts.
In Europe, France south of Chamonix might be a possibility, and the skiing is great, but surf in the Med is a bit tame.
The Big Island in Hawaii is the other way around: great surfing, with occasional skiable snow (but no lifts) on Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.
I have no personal experience with South America and New Zealand, but they both have very tall mountains next to coasts that should have good surf. You might check those on the web. Japan is another “maybe” (although it’s very hard to live there if you have no Japanese), but I don’t know if anyone surfs there.
I can’t think of other really good possibilities, and I’m pretty good at geography. What you need is a place that is not so far north or south that it’s cold even in the summer, and mountains high enough to have decent snow. If you also want amenities like ski lifts, it kind of narrows the choices.
