whats wrong with my skateboard trucks?
I brought a pair of thunder skateboard trucks yesterday and put them on my board today after school. At first they were really loose so i tightened the kingpin. After that they were still loose so i tightened them some more anyway i like fairly tight trucks and now my trucks are pretty tight but when i lean on my board the trucks bend and dont move back into position instead they just stay at like a 20 degree angle for example instead of being straight.
Anyone know whats wrong?
Sounds like the kingpin may have already snapped inside the baseplate. Undo it all and have a look.
Don’t be alarmed, this is a common problem with Thunders. I’ve had two sets and neither would keep a kingpin going for more than a week.
Heaven knows how Chris Cole does what he does whilst riding them!
I also found if you like you trucks tight, when you bend down to pop,
they feel looser than they do when you are standing up straight.
I’m on a pair of Krux now, they are much better with a bushing upgrade.
