Born in San Diego in 1968 Tony showed some serious skills and the determination of just five years old. Years Dark From the glory days of skating Perlta Powell and the brigade of the bones in the mid 80's things started to take a turn for the worse in the first half of 90. Skateboarding fell out of favor with most people and once again became an underground well. At age 31 Tony Hawk retired from professional skateboarding. With a staggering number of gold medals, world records first skate and Tony had put their efforts in supporting the sport of skateboards and branch into other businesses. Some of which include working with companies such as Jeep, Sirius satellite radio and T-Mobile, which even has a "kick Tony Hawk side.
