Living on Bowen Island, British Columbia is certainly a beautiful place. Located off the coast of Vancouver Island is 6 miles wide and over 12 kilometers. About 700 people (students and workers) travel the island every day. 1,500 people visit the island during the summer. However, living on an island throughout the year can have its own challenges. In bad weather, it can be difficult to leave Island. Should take into account the movements off the island for many of its services and needs such as work, school and other requirements. This island is beautiful, but living on a small island has its own challenges.
