Why don’t skateboards use bigger wheels?
Why is it that the biggest skateboard wheels are like 80mm? Why has nobody ever used 100mm scooter wheels? I mean wouldn’t skateboards handle better and go faster with bigger wheels?
What I meant was that scooter wheels could probably be used with little to no modification to the trucks… And I had just been wondering why people don’t do it. Would anyone ever get a board with scooter wheels?
Larger wheels are faster, but have less control and give a bumpier ride. Smaller wheels are slower, but give you more control. Scooter wheels would be way to thin to have any grip and control for a skateboard. Besides, the largest wheels are only for cruising/filming, not for doing tricks.
